Qualifications
Residents of Dakota/Ramsey County who have a diagnosis of ASD or related conditions (FASD, neurocognitive disorders, Rett syndrome, etc.) and live in a private home or family foster home.
Caregivers/family members of individuals with a diagnosis of ASD or related conditions and who live in a private home or family foster home in Dakota/Ramsey County.
Grant will only be used for: 1) respite/caregiver support; 2) autism training for caregivers; 3) autism training, social skills, or strategies for individuals diagnosed with ASD or related conditions.
The grant funding is not limited to one person per family. For example: if a single parent/caregiver has three children with ASD or related conditions, the three children and the parent each may apply for grant assistance.
What the grant does not cover:
Household expenses, rent, mortgage, transportation, or bills.
Computers, phones, pets, toys, or other devices or items a person may use for entertainment or support.
How to apply:
An application must be completed to be considered.
The application will be reviewed and you will be personally contacted by the AuSM Education Team regarding the status of the application.
Dakota/Ramsey County will pay AuSM directly for the respite/class.
